Rosewood Hotels: The pleasure of feeling at home
The history of Rosewood began in 1979 when a mansion in Dallas, Turtle Creek, was converted into a luxury hotel and restaurant, becoming a landmark in the city. The chain's goal was, from then on, to transform singular residences into luxury hotels without losing the feeling of staying in a house. Therefore, each hotel has been thought and designed to preserve this spirit: from the decoration of the rooms, inspired by the style and personality of the city or country where the hotel is located, to the design of the menu in its restaurants and even the architectural style of the building to express the essence of the local character, culture and gastronomy.
As part of its philosophy, Rosewood chooses a select group of travel agencies in each country, specialized in luxury, to jointly offer exclusive benefits to the clients of these agencies, and which form part of its Elite program. These benefits include, among others, a room category upgrade upon arrival at the hotel, free breakfasts for two during their stay, a special greeting from the manager, and at most hotels, up to $100 credit to spend at the hotel per stay.
One of Rosewood's most iconic establishments is perhaps the Hotel Castiglion del Bosco, owned by the Ferragamo family, one of the great references in Italian luxury fashion. This estate covers an area of over 2,000 hectares in the heart of the Toscana Italiana, 90km from Florence. The Orcia valley, where it is located, was declared a UNESCO heritage site in 2004. The most special thing about this unique accommodation is the concept itself. An entire village, converted house by house, in a luxury hotel, with its church, restaurants, narrow streets, and above all, views in all directions of the Tuscan landscape, where you can stay in a spacious suite or have a private villa for a family stay.
Pukhet is one of the classic destinations to end a trip in Southeast Asia. In this case, Rosewood chose the 600-meter white-sand beach of Emerald Bay to design a hotel. Inspired by Thai architecture, culture, and cuisine, one of the goals was for all the rooms, spread among 46 individual pavilions and 17 villas, to have special views and maintain the spirit and feeling of being in a private villa in Thailand. A stay on the beach is usually several nights, and at Rosewood Elite agencies, you can get all breakfasts free as a special benefit.

Las Ventanas al Paraíso is located in Mexican Baja California on the Pacific coast. The area is known as Los Cabos, as it is located between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas. It has 84 rooms, all of them suites, and for longer stays, with private villas of up to 5 rooms. Its architecture and interior design represent the cultural essence of the area as well as the gastronomy served in its restaurants. A room upgrade through a Rosewood Elite agency can add a private pool to your room.

In San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a city declared a UNESCO heritage site and known for its colorful streets, colonial architecture, and art, there is another Rosewood hotel in the heart of the historic district within walking distance of the main points of interest. Its rooms feature exposed wood ceiling beams, hand-carved furniture, and colorful decor reflecting the local ambience. One of the benefits that can be enjoyed through Elite Program member agencies is a $100 credit to spend at the hotel, perhaps on a nice spa session after a day of sightseeing before heading out for dinner.
